So I am the Toby Keith Concert last night, not a bad show. He starts out with American Ride, which it hadn’t occurred to me before, but Lynn points out a verse in the song, “Got herself a record deal, can’t even sing a note.” Now I can’t say for sure, but I think it’s safe to say who he’s talking about, Taylor Swift. Honestly I had never been a huge Toby Keith fan, but at that moment I like him just a little more! You know last time he said something bad about some gals, the Dixie Chicks, they pretty much fell off the planet. Let’s just see how far it goes, thanks Toby! -Greg
HAHA, how could she be clueless, I mean was she gone on vacation? I’m far from political and I knew what they were talking about, sheesh. Bottom line here though is let’s all give a pat on the back to our government for doing something about these nuts, excuse me “Acornians”. I’m sure it’s safe to say that I speak for most of America when I say “WTF, was anyone thinking in Washington to give these people money”. Again, good job pretty quick reaction about this and doing the right thang and taking away their money. Now if they could just figure out where they should be spending it.. -Greg

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she is clueless about an amendment to prohibit government funds for embattled ACORN, although it overwhelmingly passed the Senate Monday and the White House is calling for the group to be held accountable. “I don’t even know what they passed,” Pelosi told The Post yesterday. “What did they do? They defunded it?” The amendment to suspend housing grants was a stunning blow to the community-activist group — and came as some Democrats and the White House have been backing away from the group.
The vote was preceded by the release of videos by conservative activists posing as a pimp and prostitute soliciting — and receiving — tips from ACORN employees about how to shield income, avoid taxes and set up a brothel. The issue now goes to a House-Senate conference committee for a spending bill. Its fate is up to Democratic leaders, particularly Pelosi, since the House passed no such provision. Some fellow lawmakers were surprised that Pelosi wasn’t following the issue. “I think that she’s not focused on the issue of corruption,” said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who has been hammering ACORN.
